I understand that Maxxis currently the very best option for replacement trailer tires now available. My question is this. In the unlikely event of a blow out of a Maxxis tire, is Maxxis very good ...

Sure they can and do as evident of all the ruined ST tire threads.
Many times the tire throws the entire tread belt leaving the carcass holding up the trailer. After a few miles the carcass finally looses air and finally starts to shred.
Or the tire actually blows out/slow leak from a nail/etc. If the driver didn't hear it or se the low tire while driving then the tire will start shredding after several miles at intersate speeds.
If your using a ST tire (any brand) I would get a good TPMS setup especially if you run at nite.
I've had all of the above happen with the old bias ply and the radials on my RV and mostly non RV trailers.
