Pacific North West (PNW) West coast - lots of forest, lots of rain - from about October to May. Western part of Oregon has many choices Coast - Forest and couple hours inland High Desert. I agree I haven't seen as many photos as I would have thought of the region, but then I don't post either....so I can't complain.
I think jimh425 nailed in first post on this thread.
Also DW is more comfortable in an organized campground, and a bit nervous boondocking - so the larger rig (compared to OP) is more suited to campgrounds and open space country. Still I am looking forward to when we retire and take longer road trips more often!
