Ram 6.4 mpg

Every report of fuel mileage brings out many of the same comments. Especially those regarding hand calculating and of course those about your particular truck brand. Your numbers certainly look good and one can be certain no other brand with similar gas power will do better. My 5.7 with cyl deactivation has given me some highway numbers that I might not have believed, but were confirmed with the calculator.

Being form SLC I can say that it is not flat to price. Good freeway form Elko to Spanish Fork. From here on it is anything but flat. Thanks for posting it is a truck that i am looking at some day.

I dont care if they call me a liar, i am just reporting what my truck does. And yes 63 average, that includes stopping for fuel, getting off interstate and the highway between Spanish Fork and Price is slower. 75-80 was on interstates of which majority of trip was. Go ahead and pick me apart as i dont care, the info is for the people on here that care about how a truck might do that they might buy. For me i just stop and put fuel in when it needs it and not really worried about what it gets. For the record i am happy with this truck so far.

No kidding... Low to mid 60s yeah, but your not getting that kind of mileage at 75-80MPH unless you have a 40mph tail wind.

EVIC is spot on or even lower than actual on mine. If you have flat roads the truck will get REALLY good MPGs are those speeds. Problem I have is where I live in KY there are no flat roads to be found. I have kept track while traveling and I can baby my truck to low 20s in extremely flat areas with highway travel.

The 6.4 is a nice engine. I went back and forth between that and the CTD. Diesel won.
My EVIC shows 1-1.5 mpg better than hand calculations.

Every truck is different but more often than not they read high rather than low. That is why everyone should compare hand calculated to the computer over several tanks of fuel. Once you know if its off and by how much it pretty much stays the same way over the life of the truck. A single pull up the Gauntlet is hardly long enough of a drive to make any kind of conclusion about the computer. It needs to be checked over several hundreds of miles.
