I won’t get into the wix filter d!ck swinging contest, but I do agree Ram’s current (since 2014) filter system works as well as designed. Coming from a Dodge that pooped injectors at a little over 100k and required additional aftermarket filtration.
My wix secondary filter looks like 12Vs after 15k (aside from a little red tint lol) of catching fuel that came thru a Wix primary filter.
I am pretty well read and AR about my maintenance and have no issue with 15k filter changes on these trucks. If I was being cheap I might even extend the secondary filter interval.
I was going 20k on my old 5.9 secondary 2 micron filter that was pre filtered by the OE filter. No issues. And Ram basically copied what the aftermarket developed for their previous sub par system.
