Mich800 seems the to be catalytic converters and EGR coolers from what I have seen on the other forums. Have not heard about the fuel filter housing issue with the Cummins, what is the issue?
I work in the QC department now and can tell you we have vendor sorts going on every day. Just like every car company out there, yep even GM Nutz SMH. No one has incoming inspection anymore, the vendor certifies the parts are in spec and they come in to the plant and go right out to the floor. If an out of spec part is not caught during assembly it ends up in a vehicle and is just a ticking bomb for the customer. These again is the way it is done at ALL the car companies no mater the brand.
