Anyone own a HD Ram truck with the new 6.4 Hemi? Looking for some real world experience with the new Hemi. Can't seem to find one on dealer lots. Thanks

- Just ordered one Friday and received email this morning that production is scheduled. Now the long wait begins. Ordered 2500 laramie mega Cab 4x4.

I think all the gears are for emissions and fuel economy, not really performance. Since gas engines have a much broader operating rpm range you could get away with fewer gears, at the expense of economy. That has changed in more recent models. Big trucks are using less gears! Days of running a 8V71 been 18-1900 and 2200 RPMs with a 13 speed are gone.

I would love to have an 18 speed hand shaker behind my diesel but I'm not normal as most people know.:)
