Rams new 6.4 HEMI
Anyone own a HD Ram truck with the new 6.4 Hemi? Looking for some real world experience with the new Hemi. Can't seem to find one on dealer lots. Thanks

I saw a 3500 at the Indianapolis RV show Saturday. It was a longbed with a price of $42,000.
I have found a 3500 Tradesman with the 6.4 and fifth wheel prep for 38k. Very nice looking truck.
If only someone could tell us how it was towing 8-12K...

Because you need at least 8 gears in a gas motor to do anything now days. Normal people don't want to be shifting all the gears now. It makes it harder to text while driving........
I think all the gears are for emissions and fuel economy, not really performance. Since gas engines have a much broader operating rpm range you could get away with fewer gears, at the expense of economy. The big diesel rigs have lots of gears because those big motors have narrow operating ranges- about 1200-2000 rpm.
