I saw this on the spec sheet when I bought my 2014 F350 a few months ago but never really gave it any thought...After an early snowfall on the Cdn prairies yesterday, I remote started the truck this morning as I poured my commute coffe and went outside expecting to sweep snow off the windows. What a pleasant surprise to find the windows already clear and the cab toasty warm.! Somebody was thinking when they came up with that idea.

My non-tow vehicle is a Honda Odyssey minivan and I've often wondered how it warms so quickly. I wonder if it has something like this. I fire it up and there is heat blowing within 30 seconds.

I have an Espar diesel fired coolant heater on mine with 7 day timer, no need to plug in which is great at work in remote areas where there is no electrical power available.
