The 2011 won't pull down the same number's your 2005 does, but it will pull a bit stronger.
That said if I was looking at pre owned Ram truck's I'd just skip ahead to the 2013 MY for the introduction to DEF emission systems for better mileage. Still ain't going to beat your 2005 5.9 for MPG though :W
FWIW I get between 10-12 towing 15K depending on wind, terrain & speed. Usually best speed MPG is about 60-65 MPH for me. 75 MPH it drops off big time.
