We recently sold our Class C MH and are considering a small TT for trips a week or less. We don't want a pickup, so are considering a mid-size SUV. We looked at the Riverside Retro 177 and like the size, but would like something with some outside storage. Any recommendations on what we should consider? Thank you in advance.

Take a look at the Rockwood Mini Lite with one slide. I like the model with the U dining...interesting floorplan. Don't know about the prices...Dennis

Ditto on the Rockwood Mini Lites. For sure you'd need something with a factory tow package. On our second Rockwood and very pleased.

I just bought the Flagstaff Micro lite version of the Rockwood and can echo the recommendation. I would add that you should consider the Murphy bed options. Makes for a very large living space in a small travel trailer.

If you plan on towing with a mid-size SUV, I'd recommend that you buy a TT that's no more than 7 feet wide. Many of the SUV's have a very small frontal area allowance. The tongue weight allowance is also usually very low.

There's one of the CampLites in our campground at the moment. What a nifty looking rig. It has one slide which houses the dinette. It also has a BA A/C unit which, no doubt, cools that puppy right down....add them to your list....Dennis

We have the Micro Lite 21DS and are very pleased with it. We did not get a Murphy bed because it adds more weight to the tongue and we did not want to tear down the bed every day. We tow it with a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a V6. Good luck!

How about a TrailManor? Different sizes. Loaded for camping, I weigh 3,500 lbs with my 2417KD. We love ours.
