I would say if you have a bar come off, it's probably the bar head making contact with the ball threads or some other part of the hitch. On mine, I have a coupler on top the A frame and the bar head housing was making contact on tight turns and pushing the bar out. I had to an elevated ball to gain enough clearance. Other than that, there's no way the bar should come out, IMO. J Barca can set you straight. He's "the man" on those hitches. Not to mention a bunch of other stuff too! Maybe he'll chime in with his thoughts. Installed and set up properly, it's a great system I think. A lot of misinformation along the way to getting there sometimes, though. Be careful who you listen to.
