Registration question
Does the registration need to be rated for the payload on the TC or just for what is being towed? or neither?

- If you use the truck only for TC, you don't need to pay the commercial registration fees.
It might differ between the states, but go to DMV with camper on and have the truck re-certified as RV - All the above. Every state is different.
- If the TC doesn't need to be registered, then it would be considered "cargo". Depends on what your local laws are.
- Ask DMV office for your state.
- Probably depends on which state you are registering in. I'd look it up on the DMV website.
