Just to add to the pile... My father in law owns his own contracting company and has a company truck, a Chevy 2500. His insurance specifically does not cover any towed vehicle, unless it is commercial trailer for work.
He uses this same truck to go camping, so he had to buy a separate insurance policy for his trailer. The insurance covers comprehensive and collision to his new trailer.
Its not as uncommon as some people think and its really not as expensive as people think either. His policy is only a couple dollars a year more expensive then mine, which is just a comprehensive policy. His trailer is one model year newer, same manufacturer, roughly the same purchase cost.
Anywho, welcome to the forum OP. Buckle up, it gets rough on these forums in the wintertime. Too many of us on here aren't fulltimers yet, therefore aren't regularly camping at this time of year.
