Repairs

I have a 2006 Keystone Outback that I need to do some minor (or so I hope)repairs on. First, my awning will not stay down, I believe it is something to do with the latch and/or spring. Next, my T.V. antenna will not go up. Finally the LP Gas cover toggles that keep it anchored to the frame of the TT have broken off. My question is are these easy to do repairs or should I take it to a RV mechanic? I am sorta of handy and I can watch YouTube with the best of them. Finally, I am going to put it up for sale, so would you fix these problems or would you tell the potential buyers and take the cost of the repairs off the purchase price. Sorry for such a long post. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.
  • Check U-Tube..Bet there is some help there. Has helped me on various projects, including an awning problem!! :B
  • If your the least bit mechanically inclined all repairs on an RV are easy to do except maybe AC repairs. If your not sure, take lots of digital pictures as you take things apart.
  • I would fix the problems, you don't want a potential buyer walking away because he has no idea of what it would cost to get the items repaired.
I have always done my own repairs- I like to get advise from the forums and also the web for videos. so far I have done a lot more than I ever thought I would do.
and when you do sell it you fell good that the new owner doesn't have any problems to deal with.
