Has anyone ever replaced their microwave with a toaster oven in their truck camper. I really can do without a microwave. Toaster oven would not heat up camper like oven. Our microwave is in a cabinet with tie down strap.

Five years with lots of use. Someone mentioned being careful as toaster ovens burn easily.

This is not a toaster oven. We bring ours in and use it in the house. It cooks better than our large oven.

PLUS, it makes really good toast!

We have a 2004 class C. 7 years age we pulled out the microwave and installed a Apollo Half Time convection oven M/N AAC24-B1 B. There is a fan to install on top of the unit( comes with instructions) minor mods to bottom of cabinet where it sat on. Everything worked out great.Watch the power consumption of the new unit. We have not had any problems after the install. Took about 2 hours to replace the microwave with the new convection oven.

Typical toaster should not be mounted in cabinet, so check it very carefully.
Also 1800W oven would require dedicated 20 amp outlet, what not too many TC have from factory.
You can still buy microwave/oven combo.
I loved it on my boat and had one in the past in my home, but for the price they did offer low reliability.
In TC I use microwave more often than toaster, but added the under the cabinet toaster as well to have all of the World.
The small toaster/oven require some attention as it tends to burn the food.

Yes! We ordered our camper without the microwave and use that space for one of these. We also ordered without an oven which gives us tremendous storage for pots, plates and such.

Toaster oven

We love it. It is large enough to bake in. Bread, casseroles, pizza, broil steaks etc just like a gas oven. No turkeys on Thanksgiving though ๐Ÿ˜‰

One thing to keep in mind is that these get pretty hot on the outside. The space we use doesn't have the clearances that the manufacturer instructs. I installed small computer type 12v fans in the back of the cabinet that moves air over the unit to keep the camper walls cool. We have used it extensively now and no issues.

If we had to pick, our Breville countertop oven wins hands down; pick a size.

The big one fits a 14โ€ pizza pan and can cook a big chicken.

It is an excellent tool. Not cheap but worth it.
