Rockwood Roo: Can't find a screen door latch replacement

Hi wise forum members,

Our screen door latch broke on a recent trip and I can't find a replacement. Ours seems to be unique. It has a vertical oval slot on the side that's flat against the screen door, and there's a peg from the door handle that passes through a hole in the frame to lift the latch through the slot. I can't find any replacements (locally or online) that have the slot. Anyone have any hints where I can find this?

Let me say this again ... I did order two for when it breaks again. I really do think it will be a "when" and not an "if" because it just doesn't feel like it's going to last. But at $3.28 + shipping, I guess "when" isn't too bad.

I'll find out when it arrives if it's the right part. Dirt cheap, so I ordered two for when the next one breaks. 🙂

I didn't contact Forest River directly, but our local dealer did (with the VIN). Unfortunately, the answer came back ... they've got nothing.

How can they use non-standard parts? Or how can parts just simply disappear? Grr.

I guess it's time to drill some new holes in our door. Grr x 2.

Forest River in Millersburg, IN. Have the VIN number and possibly send the pix to the parts person. Very responsive and reasonable prices.
