Route option?
We are leaving Beaumont, Tx tomorrow headed east. I'm looking for an optional route other than I 10. We want to pick up I 12 in Baton Rouge. Has anyone traveled on Route 190 as an option and if so could you recommend it??

- Have never done that route, but do know that a lot of I-10 is like a washboard. Good luck finding an alternate.
- US 190 has numerous towns and their associated traffic lights as expected on a non Interstate route. There are rough sections on it; but so does I10. Either way you go you have Baton Rouge congestion to deal with. Best bet there is between 10AM and 3PM or on the weekend.
