I have never had a wheel failure. I have had one tire blowout many years ago (USA GY Marathon) that I am certain was a result of uneducated neglect (underinflated) on my part. It did considerable damage and I educated myself on how to keep that from happening again. I have replaced 5 tires (OE Chinese tires on TT) for cracking (after 18 months of use). I have damaged the sidewall of a tire on a curb (Maxxis 225/75R15D) but it did not fail and got me home. I damaged (belt seperation) a tire recently (Maxxis 225/75R15D) when I hit a rail crossing hard but the tire did not fail to get me to my destination and it was 6+ years old so I opted to replace all 5 with fresh 2013 made Maxxis 225/75R15E (upgraded from D).
