- Victory402ExplorerNot me, I'm inclined to go with something that's proven to preform well like Proflex and dicor.
- gboppExplorerEternabond, we know it works.
But, there's nothing wrong with trying new products. Let us know how it works for you. - downtheroadExplorerBut Wait. Seal within the next 10 minutes and we will double your order.
Just pay separate shipping and handling and seal twice. - Deb_and_Ed_MExplorer III would think it would do a good job - the million-dollar question is: how does it hold up over time?
- BMW442ExplorerI used it a little, sprayed it over/around some small holes I had patched with eternabond tape when I fixed up the overcab. So far so good.
Also used it on an old pair of fishing waders, worked good for that too! - silversandExplorer....what exacly IS Flex Seal anyway?
Where are it's specifications, ASTM test ratings for applications under varying environments, on various substrates. What are its elastic properties under a wide range of temperatures? Can it withstand tortional stresses that truck campers under transport exhibit? I can't find anything on these extremely important technical questions at all. Does Flex Seal have an applications engineering department to answer questions on applications/specifications for critical repairs on large vehicles, like an RV or similar genre ?
All the above and much more have already been answered by sealants manufacturers on niche sealants currently being used by the RV industry (and boat manufacturers) in manufacture of their units. - billyray50ExplorerFor older campers I have used all the main brand caulks but last February I bought proflex brush able seal and used a small paint brush. This stuff is amazing. Every seam, window frame, running lights, roof and vent seams, screw holes, and even the AC shroud that had cracks. It has been 10 1/2 months since I did the old 98 Lance and seal is strong!! TC has been through some major downpours on road and at campsites and seal is strong with no leaks. Especially around the dreaded front window on Cab over which I detest!!
- Joe417ExplorerI was skeptical when a local RV tech told me to use it.
I used Flex Seal for two different issues. Two years ago, used it to seal a pin hole leak in a black tank on our 5thw and to create a flexible seal between the tank, vent pipe, and vent pipe grommet. It stopped the tank odor issue we were having. No further problems so far. I've been checking it ever so often and it has not cracked or come loose in any place where I can see it.
Last year I replace the bottom cover on our TC. Called the manufacturer to see what they used at the factory. Was told they buy the plywood pre-coated with Rustoleum Truck bed liner. I bought some and compared to Flex seal, very similar.
Flex Seal, when I used it, created a textured surface, which looked quite nice.
I decided I liked the flex seal better than the Rustoleum for the bottom cover. I put about 4 coats of black on it. When I put the bottom back on, I bought a can of clear and sprayed the screw heads to seal them and I can also see where each is, in case I want to remove the cover again.
Using the clear, I also coated every seam/screw head I could see under the bottom.
I'm a bit particular about what I use on the EPDM roofing. I don't think I would use it on the rubber roof unless it was an emergency repair. I stick with butyl tape, Sikaflex, and Dicor for anything that shows, especially the roof.
It may be compatible with EPDM but I'd need to prove it to myself on something other than my roof.
Edit: It's good for ant proofing. I used it also to make a flexible seal around the tank 3" drain pipe. Sprayed it in layers until I closed the gap, probably 1/4 inch. About 5K miles and is still holding up. - portscannerExplorer

You said you used "proflex brush able seal" but your picture shows cans of "Proflex RV Instant Roof Repair." I am very curious as to which product you used - or both? - billyray50ExplorerYes the Proflex roof repair is what i brushed on everything that could be sealed. It cures fast and i think works better than caulk.
