I ended up at the show today and came away with the feeling that some models seemed smaller in person, and some seemed bigger. I have to agree that the Host Cascade is a dream camper. Its the model that made me make the trip today. Online I thought it looked a little awkward with the rear facing theater seating but in person I thought it had more space than the pictures show. I was quite impressed with the whole setup in person in fact. Those theater seats are even comfortable to sit in instead of just looking that way.
There are always a couple little things I would want to change but I am like that, I always seem to want something a little different.
One question I had for the salesman onsite was is it possible to add a small awning over the rear door to protect the entrance? He said no problem but there isn't much space there (especially on the side of the door at the corner) so I hope that it is actually possible. Even one of those small truckin' awn setups would suffice. Anything to protect that door would be nice. Being from the Pacific Northwest I am always thinking about protection from rain.
In the kitchen I would change out the trash container cabinet drawer for a couple smaller drawers. Then cutlery and kitchen items like that would have a home because my wife would insist on the oven option which would eliminate the drawers in that location. The trash could just go under the sink (there is room there).
Other than those couple little things, I was quite impressed. I think Host has a camper that will be considered by many that are in the market for large campers at this level.
