This is just a survey of what people would replace their OEM shocks with for a 2013 RAM Cummins 3500 Dually. I need to replace mine now that the truck has 70K on them. Thanks

Were they the 4600 (Yellow/Blue)?

Which model Bilstein?

You can use either the 4600's baby blue and yellow that are designed for stock ride height or the 5100's that are designed for stock to 2" lift and are a much better looking silver and black. Pick your color or price.

I have them on the front of my 15 RAM Dually and they did help but the rears on mine do not have a replacement since I have the factory rear air ride. I have to say the stock shocks are US Made Nitrogen on my LongHorn not some POS that usually come with new rigs.

I too have the factory rear air ride system on my truck. So you are saying there is no shock replacement for our rear ends? (be careful with that)

HAAAA!!! Last I checked with Bilstein that was the case but it's been a while. Honestly I see zero reason to change like I said the ones on mine from the factory are very nice shocks. The Bil's helped a bit when hitting a pot hole they stopped a bit more of the aftershock.

Now they helped dramatically on my 11 DRW LongHorn as the shocks on it were POS.

Bilstein doesn't show any shocks for rear on '17 Ford dually, at least none I saw on their web site.

Billsteins or KYB Monos. I have Monroe Reflex on my 2500 Yukon and they arenโ€™t up to the task. On my half ton they work fine. Iโ€™ll be putting KYBs on it soon.

If you do decide to buy and mount yourself, do yourself a favor and buy yourself an inexpensive furniture clamp from, e.g., Harbor Freight. It will do a great job of squeezing the new shock to just the right length.

Bils, unless you want or need even more superior rebound and damping but the lg diameter rebuild able shocks come at a serious premium for cost and don't last as long as good ole Bils.

Look up the appropriate shock for your particular application. I bought ours from shockwarehouse.com, which site also includes an application wizard. I don't necessarily think they have the best prices; shop around!

I was going to have them mounted, but found that I was able to do the job myself without significant issue.
