Sight seeing suggestions for the Rockies to Kingman Az

Hoping the crew here can help out with some suggestions of sights to see, and things to do between the Rockies and Northern Az. Kids are 16&17, and I haven't been in that area in 40 years. So any ...

Where in the rockies? That's a pretty broad area.

If on the Western side (Utah): Moab, Zion, Canyonlands, Monument Valley, then head south towards Vegas, hit Red Rocks state park, then Hoover Dam on your way to Kingman... head up Route 66 towards Williams/Flagstaff, lots of neat stuff on the way, then hit Grand Canyon

I am sure the teenage kids would be bored out of their mind, but they will see stuff they should see, and will appreciate it later in life...
