Question that raises a lot of emotional heat. I have two slideouts, never had a problem with them, more than ten years. Together the space they add is equivalent to two feet of additional length.
But for the way I want to use the RV, I find them inconvenient. I need to be able to just stop and park, not take up any extra space or look like I am "camping." If I replace this RV, the next one will be smaller and not have slideouts. This one was for my wife's needs, not mine.
