AF 1150 2005.....just came back from rough 6,000 miles and it is really cold out (in the teens) , the slide will not close completely toward the rear... the front is flush but the rear is out about 1 1/2 inches. any ideas on how to fix or adjust or what to look for?

Thanks Dave

OK Joe A problem is a problem is a problem. Hope as soon as it warms up a bit I can rectify the problem.

These slides are very popular and we looked at TCs for a long time and then when we saw the slide we were sold.... to each his own!

You are right, Harley. Absolutely right.

I have no use for slides, but I was out of line.

I'm sorry.

Bring your slide all the way in and than inspect the top (roof part) of it. I had my AF for about a year and than one day I happened to inspect the top and I found one of those recessed ceiling light lenses laying up there. It was apparently left up there by one of the employees. Im sure over time if that would of placed itself in the right position, it could of caused a problem. If a foreign object is up there, you wont know it till to find it.

Check your roller bearings in the slide tracks. I had one come apart and misaligned the slide. I was able to repair it myself.

I would open the slide and see if something may have gotten caught in the slide. I've had that happen to me before and I even have a topper on the slide. In my case, part of a broken branch got caught in it.

The slide on my camper has a bolt on each side that tightens on the rail you might try to loosen the bolt on the side that is out of line and see if you can give it a push while using the manual crank that come with the unit, be sure and tighten it back up, that might get you home.
