I was changing the oil in DWs Infiniti last month, her pride and joy.
It was cold outside and I was in a hurry. After draining I pulled the drain pan out from under the car and was carrying the 6 qts. of dirty oil around the car towards the generator shed where I have a storage drum.
I forgot, didn't remember, excuse excuse, didn't see the floor jack holding the car up and tripped over it. 6 qts. of oil all over the Infiniti and I scratched the passenger side door with the drain pan.
Needless to say, I spent the next several hours cleaning up the mess in the cold and have spent the rest of the month in the dog house.
When I started reading this I though you were about to say the wife came out of the house and drove away with no oil in the car. :)
I had a friend who's wife did that once with there 74 Duster that had the Slant 6 engine. She made it about 15 miles before the engine completely froze up. Those Slant 6's were tough engines.
