We camp on the coast quite a bit and it can be very windy at times. The fabric sides on my camper are pretty tight when the roof is up. We get very little if any flapping from the wind. We do get wind noise, but you are going to get that in any type of camper. I just have to remember to wind up the awnings before going in at night, don't ask how I know this.
