I'm not so sure about that with the cost of the large tires on SRW trucks these days.

Just for the record, todays SRW have the capacity of your father's dually, and more of everything over your grandfather's truck, such as exhaust brake, many more gears, nav, XM/Sirus radio, stereo with subwoofer on and on. Chris

Back in the day a local “Ya don’t need four wheel drive” advocate singled out his 4x2 GMC Dooley so he could get around in the winter. Tires weren’t what they are now back in the 80’s.

I wish the bank account t would allow me to have both. SRW as daily driver, use in winter as the DRW stinks in snow. After having the DRW to tow with, LOVE it. But if I could and it could, would still prefer a SRW to tow within it's capabilities.

Pro: Dually is more stable, especially towing larger trailers or 5er.
Con: Dually fat fenders get beat up easy!

Pro: SWR easier to park and use as a daily driver
Con: Little less payload, towing may not be as stable as expected.
