Stabilizing when at Home

At home: At the back end of my driveway I have a concrete pad that is perfectly level and flat that I park my boat (on trailer) and my TT. It dawned on me recently that I put wheal chocks and unhitch the boat and I'm done. On the TT, I put wheal chocks and I also put down the stabilizing jacks on all four corners... Is this just useless effort??? We don't use the TT at home and take it out one weekend a month between vacays.

    I don't put my stabs down for storage. We park out TT in our back yard, without a shelter. As a result, I park it with the nose down for better rain runoff.

    Mine's in a gravel storage lot at the other end of our mfg home park. I don't level but I do put the stabilizers down, the lady in the next spot doesn't. I figure the thief will steal her rig instead of mine that way.

    Actually I'm just paranoid of the tongue lifting off the ground when I'm in the back of the trailer.

    Mine is in a storage shed elsewhere but I don't put them down. On a recent post where a trailer was blown over in high winds in he persons driveway, I'm not sue they do much good when not inside.

    My spot is level too. My whole region is flat as a pool table. I just back it in and put the front jacks down. With a battery powered drill it takes about 5 seconds. I do only because the jack tube looks so cheesy to me. I know it's just a feel good thing on my part, but I feel better.

    When I bring my TT home, I just back it onto my driveway, unhook, set chocks (even though my driveway is pretty level) and unhook. I leave the tongue at whatever level it was when I unhooked since it's only going to be a day or two before I hook up and leave again. I also hook up to my dedicated 30 amp line and turn on the refrigerator. I try to keep it simple.

    I chock, as my driveway is a gentle slope followed by a not so gentle slope towards the back tree line.

    As far as deploying the stabilizers...nah. I only really care about trailer shimmy when I'm sleeping. :)

    My 25 ft. Dutchmen has a stabilizer jack in each corner. I assume this is standard.

    Level parking spot, works great for Dad, but I noticed (again) that when I park there, it is level until I put the slide out, then the slide side is low. I need to put the slide stabilizers down if putting the slide out. I might get some 1" boards to use on the slide side when I park there (don't want to change the level of the parking since it works great for Dad).
