Starcraft Starstream yes, no, maybe

I am considering a 2008 Starcraft Starstream as my full time rig. Does anyone have experience with them? The reviews I've seen are all pretty positive. I like the aluminum shell and the light weight. Not sure the 1400 lb. cargo capacity will work for me. It's been many years since I full-timed and I have a lot more stuff now!

I remember looking at them at an RV show in Toronto years ago and thought the AL skin they had developed was pretty cool.

Then came the 2008 melt down.................

Guessing Jayco didn't think it was as cool as I did and buried it when they brought Star Craft in house and just made it another Jayco label.

I've never seen a Jayco like this:

The Starstream models were designed as the poor man's Airstream. I think they only made them for a couple years. I was hoping someone on this forum might have experience with them.

There was a period of time after Jayco Purchased Starcraft when both lines were made in the same factory. From those years it is pretty hard to tell the difference between the two outside of the branding...

But - I can't actually remember the model years when they were co-located. I know by 2013 when I purchased mine, they had resumed building out of their own factory again.

Both brands are now owned by THOR I was surprised to read/learn recently.
