We also to a 5000 pound ski boat behind our F350 and Lance 1131. I would absolutely recommend and have been incredibly pleased with Torklifts hitch and extension to get the job done!
I know you probably got other options. But having seen some of those set ups. Nothing like a security of a great product.

There are several to choose from here, 2015 Ram 3500 Trailer Hitch.

I will be installing the '04 version of the 2015 Ram 3500 Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Class V CD - 2-1/2" on my '04 3500.

I think it is a better buy.

I just added the SH to my 2016. I have the factory welded hitch. You don't remove it. You add the SH under it. I love it. I will be towing an enclosed trailer or a jeep 4 wheels down.
