Sway with rear kitchen ?

Folks, Looking at the Lance 2285, but concerned about the possibilty of sway due to all the concentrated rear-end weight of the rear kitchen. Anyone able to report on towing a Lance 2285? Can I generalize about all rear-kitchen TTs ? TIA for your help.

I tow a 30 ft TT with rear kitchen, no sway, tows as well as the front kitchen that I had for 10 years

My last travel trailer was a Starcraft 264RKS (30' rear kitchen) and my present trailer is a Rockwood 8310SS (35' rear kitchen) trailer. I have had no sway problems with either rear kitchen trailer. I use a Reese dual-cam hitch setup and have towed each trailer from NY to GA many times and the Starcraft went out west twice. Just because the kitchen is in the rear, doesn't mean the weight is also concentrated there. A well designed trailer should have enough tongue weight to compensate for the rear kitchen

TT with rear kitchens are design to pull like any other TT........ Think of a toyhauler with an additional 1000 lb golf car or 2000 lbs of motorcycles they don't sway anymore than any other trailer as that is how they were designed.

We have the Surveyor 264 RKS. Almost 30 foot and with our Equalizer hitch there is no sway. We love the rear kitchen and would highly recommend it.

We had a 25' Terry with rear kitchen and never had any sway problems.

I think if a trailer is manufactured with a rear kitchen they will compensate in some way, like having the axles farther back leaving more tongue weight.

they're not going to sell something that's unstable from a design standpoint.
