Switched from a Truck Camper to Trailer

Well my family outgrew our 2009 Arctic Fox 811 truck camper after almost 6 years of ownership. We used this camper a lot, over 300 nights of camping in it. My wife and I have 2 young children and it was just becoming too squished in such a small space. We primarily do dry camping at remote lakes which we will still do with this monster 25ft trailer. Off road capability and 4 season was very important to us so we went with a Nash 25c. Our arctic fox which was also made by northwood was very well built so that also helped in our decision. Had to sell my boat and buy a smaller one to fit on a truck rack, that was probably the worst part of the change.
  • Congrats on new camper!! We too are coming from a TC for last five years and just bought our new Jayco White hawk 33 RSKS saturday for all the same reasons. I tried hard to get the mrs. to consider the Nash or Arctic fox same size but not big enough.. Great choice.. Enjoy!
  • Congrats and continue to create great family memories!
  • With me being solo I was beginning to think of a TC. Still wondering if my 2012 Tundra can handle one.

Be fun to meet up with you someday. Went from 3 T/C's to a fifth wheel, and now we take our inflatable double kayak in the front of the fifth. It's nice to have the room and the comfort, but we sure do miss the convenience and capability of the T/C combo.

We are usually camping up in your neck of the woods! We did a month long trip down the Oregon/northern cal coast last year and it sure was nice not towing something which I'm always doing on the island. Cheap ferry too!

  • Nice! I hope you and your family will enjoy it as much as you did your TC.

    Safe travels.
