Taking the Golf Cart question

I have a golf cart that I want to take with us when we camp.

For the past 5 months, I've had the camper onsite at the Campground. Bought the proverbial cart before the horse. I am now looking for an F350 to tow it.

Is it possible to put the golf cart in the back of a 6' truck bed with the tailgate down? I am currently looking for an 8' bed.

I have a hitch on the back of the trailer. Looked at the Idaho Tote, but way to pricey.

Does anyone have a 6' bed that they put their golf cart in?

Just getting input at the moment.

Thanks all.

Tom
  • I haul my golf cart on a 5'x8' utility cart and I have to hang the rear seat over the front of the trailer for it to fit. That is, I have to back it onto the trailer.
  • Mine fits perfect in the 8' bed, it is a 4 person cart, but has a foldable rear seat.

I know your question is about a 6 foot bed, but I would hold off for an 8', they are much more usable and worth the wait.

I know with my TT, if I lower the tailgate there is no way I could drive as it would hit the tongue jack, but all set ups are different.
  • This should allow your tailgate to remain open will towing.

  • I use these when hauling my ATV in my 6.5' bed. They work well as they hold the tailgate partially open.

  • Jack the thing up til it clears the tailgate and block it. My ATV will not fit a 6 ft bed so unlikely a Golf cart will.
