  • 2 up towing laws are state by state, so you will have to check where you will be traveling, some yes, some no
  • You "can" but you may not want to. Pop-ups don't weigh very much, compared to a 5er or a TT. They are almost always a single axle, and when you add the weight to the rear of a pop-up, it reduces the weight on the tongue, which causes uncontrollable sway and gyrations back and forth on the trailer. Add the extra length behind the pop-up for a boat trailer (or any kind of trailer), and the rear of the pop-up is now gyrating back and forth, the 2nd trailer will be completely out of control.

I had a pop-up once. Had a hitch installed on the back of the pop up, added 4 bicycles, and almost wrecked the camper it gyrated around so much. I had to travel about 30 mph to keep from wrecking, it WAS that bad. The pop-up was just too light. I took the bicycles off and never put them back on the pop-up again.

I STRONGLY advise against towing behind pop-up! Way too light.
  • I've seen some trailer setups using custom built trailer where a rack was built from the boat trailer frame rails above the boat to haul other toys. Mostly I see boats with two jet skis above, but I've also seen boat with a sandrail above and a boat with two quad runners above. I've even seen a boat with another boat above. So you could have a boat with a popup above.

Personally I would change out the pop up for a pickup and camper (or motorhome) then tow the boat.
  • Don't know about Canada. But for the US -
In addition to the possible stability issues, some (but not all) states allow towing two trailers. And of the states that do allow two trailers, some of those require the first trailer to be a 5th wheel.
  • No jurisdiction allows for a ball coupling on the first trailer. Fifth-wheel kingpin only.

Not from what I have seen here in Ontario. I know people do it with travel trailers.

Wrong. You can do it in Indiana.
