There is another way to "turn off" the back-up sensors. The idea is to fool the computer into thinking you are pulling a trailer in which case it deactivates the back-up alarm. One way to do that is to buy a 7 pin tester, one that mimics having trailer brakes. For example:
7 pin trailer simulated
If you leave it plugged in your sensors will not come on.
