- Boband4ExplorerThe tag line for us became "Trailer brakes first!". I searched multiple streaming platforms and couldnt find the movie. Found a DVD for $6 on fleabay. It had a lot of campy exagerations; but a lot of it was spot on accurate too!
- LwiddisExplorer IIWell then, how long was it?
M&D took us to see the movie at a drive in just outside of Big Basin Redwood State Park. Sky Meadows motel, snack shop and drive in. We were camping, of course. Motel is still there. Houses at former drive in :( - rexlionExplorer

Holy Smokes, how would you drag that around corners? The back end must swing really wide.
You need a 1953 Mercury Monterey convertible with a 125 HP flathead V8 engine.
Because it’s heavy enough to tow a trailer!!!! - 1320FastbackExplorerWonder if there are still any rocks hidden inside ??
- JIMNLINExplorer IIIIts a house trailer from that era ('40s/'50s). With a RV A/C on top it most likely has been retro'd to a modern RV travel trailer.
- LadyRVerExplorer IIThat is great! Would love to see it.
- K_CharlesExplorerWe saw it at Huntington beach state park SC last fall.

The Merc couldn’t cut the mustard in the hills. Replaced by a very similar Lincoln. “During the scenes of Nicky and Tacy pulling their trailer in the mountains, their 1953 Mercury Monterey convertible is replaced with a larger but similar appearing 1953 Lincoln Capri convertible.” https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Long,_Long_Trailer
