- newman_fulltimeExplorer IIyour a few days late
- mich800ExplorerThe DEF rusted the frame away. :)
- bmet2000ExplorerIt's just in "tilt mode" for easy camper unloading.
- carringbExplorerHmm did it get in a wreck? Can't see the front end. I can assure you that any tow truck on the road has had way more weight hanging off the back. Just YouTube "tow truck wheelie" if you don't believe that point :).
- jerem0621Explorer IIWow...just wow...that's a newer F350 based on the Dually fenders. I think 08 and up or 11 and up had that style of rear fender (not sure which).
There had to be way more to this story.
Of course 4000 lb truck camper plus 1000 lb tongue weight on a 50 inch lever certainly applied a lot of force to the frame. Even then I can't imagine a frame snapping.
Wonder if it was a rebuilt wreck with bad welds. Lol
Thanks! - ib516Explorer III looked through the forum it was posted in again. The guy that posted the picture knows the owner personally. It was NOT from a wreck, just overloading. He said they actually just straightened the frame at a collision repair place on the frame machine and called it good :E. I don't know if they welded in any reinforcements or what.
Apparently, the TC is about 4500 empty. So the truck was probably overloaded. - jus2shyExplorerWow, they must had bee hauling lead to bend the frame like that. Superduty still uses a C-channel frame from the cab back, so it should be a fairly easy repair to the frame (Boxed sections are more difficult to work on). Having a longer hitch setup like that should take some weight off the tongue though.
- Wow... That tongue on that trailer doesn't look safe either.
- Bionic_ManExplorerI would like to hear the Paul Harvey version with the rest of the story.
I wonder how creative the for sale posting will be, calling out the shiny new frame. - Fast_MoparExplorer

Agree. The huge overhang requires a long tongue and tow bar, and that just looks like a recipe for disaster.
