I had a camper for many years, but when we retired we took one long trip in it of 6 weeks and found it was too small and uncomfortable, especially when you had to spend a lot of time inside because of weather etc. We changed to a fiver about 6 years ago and do a mini-snowbird trip of 2 months or so every year and love it.
However, I still miss the camper, so 2 years ago I bought an older one which I use for fishing trips and my wife and I still use for occasional short trip. Best of both worlds if you have the money and the storage space..
The two are different, we think of the camper as "camping" and the fiver as "RVing"
