Tires - GMC Sierra 2500HD - recommendation please

I have a 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD. Currently have Goodyear Wrangler HT LT245/75R16. Only got 20k miles out of them in 20 months. I'd like something with smooth ride, low road noise, more than 20k life expectancy, and dependable traction for the periodic snow we get here in Arkansas in the winter.
I tow our trailer maybe 2x a year long trips with 4-5 weekend trips a year max. Otherwise it's a daily pavement driver.
Suggestion? Ready..... GO!

No uneven wear, all four wearing out evenly. This truck has 125k miles on it. I have been thru a few sets of tires and at minimum I can get 30-40k from a set.

If you only got 20K out of a set of Goodyear Wranglers, I would take a long hard look at the truck or your driving habits. There is definitely something wrong there if your tires are wearing out that fast. Goodyear tires are as good a quality tire as any of the other brands listed in this forum and I don't think just changing brands will solve your issue.

Look into the Cooper A/T3's, 50k (or 55k) tread life warranty even on the LT tires! Maybe a more on road tire as well from Cooper that includes a warranty, not sure as I usually get AT replacements living here in Mi, and needing good traction in all weather types!

Toyo has some pretty good tires, the At2 with a tread warrany as well. Buddy has been happy with them for the last 6 months or so. Good winter traction. They may have a more on road tire with warranty as well.

Already mentioned...but, take a good look at Michelin LTX MS2. They have been great on our Sierra both daily driving and towing...all kinds of weather.

I would look at the Michelin M/S2+, love the way they grip.

I’m surprised that no one has suggested Michelin LTX MS2. They have great life expectancy, very comfortable ride, low noise, excellent snow traction without the downsides of all terrain tires (such as noise), and the worst steering wander that I have ever experienced in 50 years of driving. I’ve had a few sets—I have to steer into the road crown and/or wind, and on flat level road they wander off one way or the other. They usually get very high reviews, but I consider the wander almost dangerous. I’m also looking for a Highway tread mud & snow replacement for the OEM Continentals that wore off strange on my F-350. I’m leaning toward trying Yokohama Geolandar GO56 next. Check out tirerack.com. You’ll see the specs on most of the tires sold in the USA—you can narrow the search with check boxes on the left.

You cannot go wrong with BF Goodrich All Terrain TAs.

BFG TA Radials -- been buying them for over thirty years for all my trucks. Good traction, great on the highway and light off-road driving -- good in light snow. Never had problems with 'em but only once, and BFG replaced it with no hassle.

Also, a GM guy, always buy 2500 4x4 trucks.

Ive always used Bridgestone Duelers on mine and get great mileage out of them.
