Thanks everybody I will look into the Maxxis tire

The tire size you referenced in the OP is a bias tire. Maxxis is no longer manufacturing the 8009 series bias tires. Maybe you should think radial.

Hello,
IMHO, I would buy LT 10 ply tires and use the hightest rated tire that would fit your trailer i.e. "D", "E" or "G" rated. I have had good luck with LT Good Year "G" rated tires. It just depends on the weight of your rig fully loaded.

I only recommend Maxxis brand for ST tires. The 225/75/15E will serve you well IMO.

I went from those to 16" LT American made tires and very happy there. If I would not have had enough room for 16" I would have gone with Maxis ST as they get the best recommendation on all the forums. ๐Ÿ™‚

Never an issue with my Carlisle St 's at four and a half years of use. One flat, but tires do that.

We have had good service from our Maxxis ST tires over the last 4 years.

Many like Maxxis tires. Others go with LT (instead of ST) tires.

I bought 4 new tires for my TT a couple months ago from etrailer.com.

Here's the link:

I have the same brand tires on my pontoon & equipment trailers too... They're great tires!
