I have gmc half ton ext.cab tow package 2009 sierra.TC is 2008 Sun-lite,dry wgt 1450. What is a good 6 to 8 ply tire for a trip to Alaska? Also I have "Active suspension" and Rancho xl9000 shocks and struts already.

- They don't use "ply" ratings any more...now they use letter designations. I put E rated BFG Rugged Trails on mine. Pumped up to 80 lbs when hauling my TT with 500 lb quad in bed. Only did that a couple of times, but seemed to work fine.
I would think that with a 1450 dry weight, you are gonna be way over your truck's payload capacity. Not good.
