Well, it wasn't short a 1/2" nut. It was short a 3/8" nylon nut. There is a little threaded fitting that the mounts on the bumper and the brake peddle cable passes through it. Its supposed to have two nylon nuts, one for each side of the bumper. I've only found one in the box. The nut was supposed to be in a plastic bag with all the other cables, fasteners, etc. The bag was supposed to be heat sealed shut. Looks like they only heat sealed it half way across which left a large hole for parts to fall out of. I just hope that's the only thing missing. At this point, I just don't expect to get a complete working anything any more. That's my life; fixing someone else's screw up.
