My built Jeep is covered in aluminum armor but I didn't dare put it on bare.
Not sure I consider aluminum 'armor' unless the T Number is is double digits.
6061-T6 makes fine armor. My belly plate is made of it on Ultra4 chase rig. Bumpers, corners, it works fine.
