Touch up paint

Does anyone know about paint on aluminum sided trailers?

I ordered some aerosol touch up paint from automotivetouchup.com using the paint code provided by Crossroads.

I received an acrylic urethane basecoat paint which did match the color but since it was a basecoat, had no gloss.

The big problem was the urethane paint reacted to the OEM paint and bubbled it up around the touched up area.

What kind of paint is used on aluminum skinned trailers? Enamel?

Problem is I'm touching up the skirting that is antique silver.

I had scratched the rear of our Coachmen TT and used appliance touch-up paint to touch it up. Worked great. The Coachmen was white so the color match was easy.

I don't know if that was the right way to do it, but it worked out well for me.

I have used white appliance paint. Worked really well, has worn like iron.
