I found a 2008 Chevy CC 3500 Dually 4X4 loaded with everything including Navigation and leather (LTZ model), custom wheels etc with 148K looks excellent and drove nice. Dealer wants $29981. Any known problems. Was used to haul a goose neck trailer. Tank size? Thanks.

You can buy that truck new 2014 for $50k. $20k less for a 6 year old truck and 150k miles? I'd pick new. Closer to $20k, maybe. You gotta figure out for yourself.

High mileage on late model trucks isn't what it used to be. 200-300K is fairly common with average care and maintenance, and longer if you stay on top of things. I've found that the motors are beginning to outlast the rest of the vehicle, especially the electronics and the bells and whistles.

Truck drove out real nice. Just have to get Momma on board maybe. Haven't done much if any, dickering yet. As for my meds, just my heart and diabetes meds which has no effect on my attitude, I just know how some of you think so headed you off at the pass so to speak. Only thing truck seems to be missing is a sunroof which I neither want/need/nor care about due to DWs migraines. Was curious about the problems of that year. Thanks for the heads up on the cooler lines, I'll mention that if I start dickering on the deal. NADA retails books it at $33400. No one pays retail LOL

I agree that the list price is a tad on the high side. I spent quite a few years working for auto dealers and I would put an educated guesstimate that they bought it for $20k. However, they can sell it quick at $25k, but willing to give it a while at $29k. If you get them to $26K I think that is a fair price. It's a great truck.

It 'seems' like a lot for a 6 yr. old truck. Mileage is not high.
BUT diesel hold resale value.
Seen 2007 makes listed at that price and higher.

I've seen mine listed at $30,000....go figure.

OP........

Nice truck. When are you bringing it home??
Would that be Graystone Metallic

Is it time for your medication or mine?

I don't know everything the truck has, but NADA has this truck with this mileage between 24,000-26,000 depending on options.

We purchased our 2008 GMC, see sig, in December with 102,000 miles and love the truck. Check the transmission cooler lines just under the front air dam. The lines are known to leak, mine were and I had the dealer replace them prior to purchase. Truck pulls great and look forward many years of service. We paid $29,000 for ours. Tank should be 38 gallons, ours had a 100 gallon transfer flow already installed. Averaging 15.6 MPG bobtail in mixed driving and 10.2 to 11 MPG pulling our 12600 lb fiver. You will love this truck. Good luck.

I know, I know, there will be some who will say I listed this ? in the wrong section. Get over it. I tried to list it in Tow Vehicles, but it wouldn't go there for some reason so you'll just have to get a life and bear with me. There!!! Thought I'd say it before some of you nitpickers climb all over my frame. Please observe the mistletoe attached to the center of my belt in the rear. Need I say more?
