towing torque converter

I'm about to have transmission rebuilt, it is a Ford C6. I've been reading about towing torque converters. TCI, Hughes and a few others make some.

Has anyone here used one of the towing specific converters?

Thanks. No, I think I just need the gas towing convertor. I'll be towing a 5850lb camper at highway speeds, 55-60 mph.

It doesn't require more brake pressure to hold the truck at idle. It has a much lower stall speed, though, which is what I needed. My application requires heavy pulling at speeds below 10 mph so I used a planetary gear set out of an overdrive transmission. If memory serves me right my first gear ratio is 2.72:1. You might not want the diesel converter for your application.

I built a 460 ci Ford for a truck that was used for off road work. The 460 was bored and a stroker kit was used to bring the displacement to 535 ci. I coupled it to a C6 with a Hughes torque converter that I have been very impressed with. Against Hughes Performance recommendation I went with their diesel F43XFM converter. They told me the diesel converter would "hook up" too quick and I wouldn't be happy with it; but I am.

http://www.gopnh.com/, They come highly recommended from some guys. I just had mine rebuilt and the builder who is well known for building heavy duty trans said save your money and buy a good reman and I would be good to go.
