I started towing my boat with an 79 Ford E350 Extended conversion van with the good ole 460 and I loved it until it started rusting out. Years later I also towed my TT with a E350 passenger van with the V10 and loved the capacity to haul my family and mucho stuff. The only issue for me is the lack of 4x4 which you can get but not as cheap as in a truck or SUV. To me they are the most capable when not towing 5th wheel or GN because they have a lot of capacity both in area and weight carrying. I actually like the way they look compared to trucks but hey that's just my opinion. I say if it works for you stick with it. Embrace your uniqueness and at least it will be easy to spot your vehicle compared to a white or silver truck.
