Trailer condensation in cold weather

Yup. You either need to leave windows open, or run a dehunidifier.

Not uncommon in low temps, and higher outside humidity levels.

try running a GOOD portable dehumidifier. That's what we do. we can pull 3-5 gallons of water out the first day. then 1-2 gallons or more after that. You can pick them up at most home improvement stores for $100 or so.

Between moisture from the stove/oven (comes from burning propane, puts something like 3 qts of water in the air for every gallon of propane burned IIRC), moisture from perspration, confined space and single pane windows= potential moisture problems. high outside humidity, doesn't help either.

Propane forced air furnace does NOT add any moisture to interior air, that gets vented outside. However, NON vented propane heaters (big buddy, cat etc.) put water in the air, the 3 qts/gallon or so.
Also make sure the vent is one when cooking or showering.

yeah it's normal. When you breathe it causes condensation along with many other things such as boiling water etc. You need to get and use de-humidifier.

Open a fan and vent and crack a window on the opposite end.

We find turning the heat up higher helps.

We even get it in our OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer which is mostly fabric sides etc..

We have one metal rod support going over the tent area and its kinda fun to have that start dripping on you late into the night haha....

It got so bad one night I told Momma Bear to quit breathing but that didn't work out very good...

We have a large blade fan setup in our unused tent bed to circulate the air better which helps alot...

I never have had condensation in my RV. I crack a window furthest away from the thermostat.

Which is what I do anyway 'anytime' I run a propane furnace in an RV. I just don't want to ever be in a square box with propane running without a window open. Just saying been doing it for years and still here to talk about.:W

Excellent point, and that's one reason we always have at least one window cracked open AND a vent open when we're camping. MaxxAir vent covers are great - they allow you to leave a vent open even in the rain. We have not had many condensation problems in our trailers either.

I avoid all indoor cooking or using any propane when the temps drop down like that, and use electric heat exclusively. But even with that I will use a dehumidifier, and keep my eye out for any condensation which normally occurs on the windows first.
