Trailer storage

What is a average price to store a 29' travel trailer indoors for the winter months? A per month price
  • We leave our DP stored various places for the summer. The rates depend a lot on where you want to store it - both in what area of the country, and how close to the airports or major metropolitan areas you want to be. We try to store someplace where Alaska Airlines flies in and out of. Indoors will really cost you more.

Let people know what area of the country you want to store it.

It would probably just be easiest to Google "inside RV storage Kansas City" and then call a few places. That's how we find our storage places.

Rates will vary wildly depending on where you are in the country or even what city you're in. I've seen enclosed units for as low a $60 a month and as high as rent on an apartment. For that sized rig around here covered goes for around $100-$150 a month and enclosed would be around $175+ on average. I have my rig stored at a really nice lot in an outdoor space. I spend $110 less to have it stored outdoors versus the cheapest enclosed lot I could find near me. I could do a lot with an extra $1,300 a year.
  • around here, for a gravel maintained lot. outdoor with 24/7 access we pay $30-$50 per month
  • In Indiana locally $40.00/mo.

Prices vary widely. I have heard over $100.00 is not unusual for the Indianapolis area.

Mine sits in the back yard.

  • That will totally depend on your area. I live in Kansas City and I pay $105 per month for a 12 X 35 indoor storage with an 11 X 14 door and 24/7 access. However I know they go for more than that even in my area.
  • We pay $50 per month for indoor storage in a building with a cement floor.
We store from December to early May.
The storage is in the local county fairgrounds building.
It is important to store indoors in northern MN as the snow can get quite deep.
The price actually depends upon the length (rear bumper to hitch) of your RV or Travel Trailer. Longer length = more money. Ours is about 29 feet.
