Trailite 180t Black water sensor wiring

I am in a dispute with my RV dealer. I had the unit in for warranty work with my black water tank lights . I no they were on when I first bought the unit. This is a two years on going problem. I am being told the black water has no level sensors in the 180 t black water tank. Has anyone had the same problems?
  • might help if you posted year of your hybrid.

that's got to be an used older trailer, since R-Vision hasn't made hybrids in quite awhile.
  • Sorry It is a 2010 180T crossover single axle. I am not sure the sensors gave up or the board went funky. My dealer told me they put the camera down and there were no sensors showing. But I was sure they worked and lost them half way thought the first year I had it. Thanks
  • I can't believe a 2010 would not have black tank sensors, heck even my 2005 hybrid has sensors. That said, they aren't that accurate, so I don't rely on them.

I'm also a little surprised you have warranty coverage for a 2010, but even if they do fix it, don't trust the sensors for long. Your experience and a flashlight down the toilet will be much more reliable in telling you when it's time to dump.
  • We also have sensors, on a 2003, but also don't trust them. I also use the flashlight method.....

I can't see fighting with the dealership too much on this, just because they're so unreliable anyways....
  • It was a used unit bought 2014 with a year warranty. First they said I had no holding tank- next it was just told the units never came with sensors. It is just the point to make them agree there was a sensor unit in it. I seen the area and it looks like tuff repair. This might give me a chance to repair myself. It is a problem when the manufacturer is gone.
  • Have had a great season camping with a dump station on the way out of the park. looking at putting a extra tanks in the unit just to make I can can camp more than 4 day with out a problem .This fall I am borrowing a bore scope to look for sensors just to prove my point. This was one of the best season lots of heat no ran.
