I replaced my small trans cooler in my 07 with a 6 speed. Used a B&M cooler that was 4 times the size. I did not have to cut any hoses or lines. I bought the reducers to fit the factory quick connect lines. This is an easy mod that takes more time to remove the grill than hook up the new cooler. Results- 20 to 25 degrees cooler when towing. If interested let me know and I can e-mail you the pics of the projects.

I think you need to worry about something else - like running out of brewskies.

I am glad my trans temp gauge does not have degrees on it.

I would first check to make sure you need it. If your temps don't ever go above 220 I wouldn't try to "fix" it.
It's also important that the fluid gets hot enough to burn off any moisture, which is achieved above about 140 degrees.

So what kind of temps are you seeing right now?
IMHO I would leave well enough alone. I've seen people do this and break hoses or a fitting leak or something gets rubbed up and causes a leak or even cause overheating problems by stacking too many coolers in front of the radiator.
If you're not over gross on the load you should be fine.

While I have a different transmission this transmission cooler may work. I used the factory connections that were in OEM cooler to connect the hard lines with no issues.
